Below is a brief summary of SASPAC and Census activity for this month.

NEW England & Wales Census data
On the 23rd May, three new sets of data were published by ONS. The data sets include the first data for workplace zones from the 2011 Census.
They are made up of: -32 Workplace Population tables,
-9 Workday Population tables,
-6 Armed Forces tables.
These tables are currently being processed so keep a look out for either a blog post or a tweet advising when the next SASPAC update is available.
Video module guides
Please take a couple of minutes to look at our training page; recently we have uploaded videos on module 5 andmodule 4a. These videos are great step-by-step guides of how to carry out common tasks. There are currently 6 video available and there will be more coming soon!
Training available
If you are interested in attending a SASPAC training session then you are in luck – the next training date is 21st July at City Hall in London. If you are interested in booking a place please let us knowASAP.
The course is excellent forbeginnersor for people who would just like arefresher on how to use the software.
The SASPAC team are currently preparing a half day training course which will allow users to take full advantage of the 2011 origin-destination data. If this interests you then please keep an eye out for either a blog post or a tweet which will contain more information.
SASPAC update for Scotland
Overall, there are now 174 tables available for a range of geographies from national down to the Output Area level.
The most recent NRS census releases have been: -Release 3a(10 DC tables) -Release 3b(9 DC tables & 5 LC tables) -Release 3c(1 DC table & 13 LC tables & 3 QS tables) -Release 3d (12 DC tables & 9 LC tables)
On 4 June NRS published Release 3Ewhichwas made up of 12 tables: -12 LCtables, -7 DC tables (3 only available at Scotland and Council area)

In order to access this data in SASPAC users will need to download the latest System files and have update the software to SASPAC version 9.85.
