Dear SASPAC/Census User,

Below is a brief summary of census and SASPAC activity for January.

  • Latest data release (4.4) alert! On the 23rd January 2014, ONS published 57 Local Characteristics & 2 Detailed Characteristics relating to demography, families and housing. Further details are available at: (4.4 Part a) (4.4 Part b). The SASPAC team are currently processing and QAing this data and a release will be added to our website shortly. The next scheduled release by ONS will be on 26th Feb.
  • A warm welcome to Stirling Council who have just joined the SASPAC scheme. If you are also interested in what we have to offer or need any further information click here.
  • SASPAC v9.85 was released earlier this month and includes:
    - access to all Key and Quick statistics tables for Scotland
    - access to 59 new Detailed Characteristic tables for England & Wales
    The application has also been enhanced so try it and let us know what you think.
  • Need help rezoning Census Data...worry no more.
    The SASPAC Team have produced a step by step guide helping users through the rezoning process that allows you to create population Census datasets for bespoke geographies - a zip file containing everything you need to undertake the task is also available.
  • SASPAC Training coming near you!
    SASPAC training is currently scheduled in London, Cardiff and Scotland during February/early March. If you are interested in attending any of these courses or would like more information please contact us, places are still available.
