SASPAC V.9.90

The SASPAC team have released version 9.90 this month which incorporates all the data tables currently available including the most recent updates.

To find out what the recent updates are please take a look here.

All SASPAC users will need to download a small update before upgrading to v9.90 however the instructions on how this can be done are available here (pdf).

Revisions and corrections!

This month NRS informed us that they had discovered an error in the original published versions of tables including information on country of birth. However, all of the tables have now been updated and new system files are available to download from our website here.

Also if you would like to take a look at which tables had errors in and what releases were affected please view here.

Classroom
Training video's

Please take some time to view our video training page; the videos available are great step-by-step guides of how to carry out common tasks. There are currently 7 videos available.

The most recent videos added are showing how to carry out modules 4a & 4b:

Module 4a - Demonstrates how to create new zones - By individual area selection.

Module 4b - Demonstrates how to create new zones - By reference to a gazetteer.

Please take a look and keep an eye out for more becoming available soon!

SASPAC and Census flow data

The SASPAC team are currently updating training materials to support users access to the 2011 flow datasets. We are hoping to offer a half-day training session in the future however a date is still yet to be confirmed.

The 2011 Census flow data tables will include 4 datasets:

1.Special Workplace statistics- Travel from usual residence to workplace (or place of study in Scotland)

2.Special Migration statistics- Address 1 year prior to census day

3.Special Student statistics- Student migration

4.Special Residence statistics- Location of second residence

For all 4 datasets a set of England & Welsh and UK tables will exist. If you would like to know more about how to access the data and when it will be published please view here.
