Below is a brief summary of SASPAC and Census activity for last month.

NEW table layouts

ONS recently announced that the next release of Census data will be on 23 May. There will be 4 datasets released:

*(Release 5.2a) 
Workplace Population Statistics for Workplace Zones and MSOAs in England and Wales.

*(Release 5.2b)
Workday Population Statistics for MSOAs and OAs in England and Wales.

*(Release 6.1)
Migration Statistics for Wales.

*(Release 6.2)
Armed Forces Statistics for Local Authorities in England and Wales. 

Outline versions of all of these tables are available to download from the ONS website or check out our website for more information. 29/4/14

 
v9.85 UPDATE

65 NEW Census tables for England and Wales have been made available by ONS over the last month..

To access these you will need to update to the v9.85 (April update). You can do this by just downloading v9.85 from our software download page. Also you can download the latest System files from our Data page. 17/4/14

SASPAC training

Last month saw us provide Census training courses to:

  • ONS/Isle of Wight staff in Titchfield, Southampton;

  • two days in Falkirk to our users in Scotland;

  • one day at City Hall in London to various London Boroughs.

The next training day will be taking place on Tuesday 10th June - City Hall

Release 3D Census tables

On May the 15th NRS will be publishing Release 3D Census tables.
This data is on Population and Household, Ethnicity, Identity, Language and Religion.

It is made up of 24 tables:
* 13 are Detailed Characteristics tables.
* 11 are Local Characteristics tables.
